Using GovBlocks for decision making

A proposal in GovBocks follows the following life cycle:

  1. Creation

  2. Categorization

  3. Solution solicitation

  4. Voting/Consensus

  5. Incentive Distribution & Decision Implementation

Steps 1-3 can also be combined, in which case the proposal with a solution is categorized from the beginning and allocated default incentives based on the category. Voting for such proposals is of the yes/no format.

On the other hand, if a proposal is categorized separately, the authorized body can override default incentives for the category and multiple solutions can be solicited for the same proposal. Eventually either the proposal is rejected or the best solution is accepted.

To guide you through this section, we will use an example from our existing integration with Nexus Mutual, a p2p insurance mutual built on Ethereum.
